4 Major Tenets of ENY

Tenet 1: Evangelism

What is Evangelism?

The spreading of the Christian gospel by public preaching or personal witness.

What are we doing about it?

We are taking to the streets to do as the Lord has commanded us to do. Evangelize NY has and will, spread the word of God to what the bible describes as the least of these in Matthew 25. Every person deserves to hear the gospel and have the opportunity to be saved.

Tenet 2: Food Security

What is Food Security?

The state of having reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food.

What are we doing about it?

Evangelize NY will partner with local community organizations to provide abundant, nutritious meals for low-income families in need. Several parts of NY are classified food desserts, we seek to remedy this high level insecurity.

Tenet 3: Homelessness Assistance

What is Homelessness?

Having no settled home and living on the streets or in temporary accommodation.

What are we doing about it?

Evangelize NY will partner with local community organizations and shelters to put tangible resources in the hands of those in need, increase job security rates, assist in the registrations and applications for individuals seeking low-income housing and to get people off of the streets through intervention and public assistance.

Tenet 4: Baptism

What is Baptism?

Baptism of the Holy Spirit: The baptism of the Spirit is Christ's bestowal of the Holy Spirit upon every believer at the moment of his or her salvation

Baptism by submersion: A Christian sacrament or ordinance that signifies entry into the church community, symbolizes a believer's death to sin and new life in Christ, and represents the forgiveness of sins

What are we doing about it?

Evangelize NY will first lead every baptism inquirer in the baptism of the Holy Spirit of God. Before the declaration of faith through water baptism, is the acceptance of Jesus Christ and baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Evangelize NY will partake in national events like Baptize America, while also accepting inquiries for baptism from anyone seeking to be born again.

Evangelize NY: The Roadmap to Equality Framework

Evangelize NY has been working diligently with the most current research to develop a community stabilizing Roadmap to Equality for the Greater Rochester Area. We believe that following this roadmap will not only address the decrepit amount of food insecurity (26% overall, and over 40% in certain neighborhoods), but it will also address the rise in homelessness (41% increase since 2022) and job insecurity.

The roadmap focuses on creating access through temporary assistance that will lead to long-term sustainability

At Evangelize NY we firmly believe that following the Roadmap to Equality, with the proper partners and actors in place, will significantly decrease homelessness, food insecurity, job insecurity, access to affordable childcare and access to reliable transportation.

The Roadmap to Equality is 12 step plan that ENY uses to address the continuum of systemic challenges facing the Greater Rochester Area. Created by our Executive Director, who realized through his graduate Social Justice and Human Rights studies, that the greatest challenges facing individuals today exist on a continuum and cannot be remedied by a singular model. Just as space, matter, time and energy co-exist and cannot exist without the greater continuum, the same follows for the major socio-economic challenges of the day. Meaning, ENY needed to develop a model that addresses a series of challenges and inequities, rather than having a singular focus.
